Love Your Body
Loving your body is not about believing it looks good, but knowing it IS good, no matter how it looks. -Lindsay Kite, PhD
My body on the left sure didn’t look good but it also was not good - it was riddled with Type 2 Diabetes/insulin resistance, high blood pressure, asthma, allergies, sleep apnea, psoriasis and an unhealthy amount of body fat and it kept me from being the best version of myself because it hindered my ability to do certain things and live the life I really wanted.

My body on the right definitely looks better, but “surprise” it doesn’t look like I wish it looked. However, what I can say about it is that it’s healthy. It’s a good healthy body! It’s no longer obese and riddled with metabolic dysfunction. It is capable and strong. It functions as it should and it serves me well. I love my healthy body-regardless of whether I love it’s appearance.
Appreciate your body for what it can do! Celebrate your health, strength and the progress you’ve made!
