You Can Find Your Food Freedom

If you are still ruled by food then you still have a dysfunctional relationship with food. It doesn’t matter how long ago you lost the weight, if every day you wake up thinking about what you’re going to eat that day and you go to bed thinking about what you’re going to eat the next day then you have a dysfunctional relationship with food. If you’re eating one meal and thinking about the next meal then you have a dysfunctional relationship with food. If you’re always scouring social media for the next recipe to try, you might have a dysfunctional relationship with food. If you have to have something sweet every day, then you have a dysfunctional relationship with food. If your life still revolves around what you eat then you are not free.
Eating disorders are not just manifested in bulimia and anorexia-binge eating, obsessive calorie/macro counting, constantly thinking about food, planning your events around when you’re going to eat is all disordered behavior.
Keto is definitely a game changer, but it’s not going to fix your mind. You have to do that part. Keto just calms your mind and makes the ability to mentally heal easier because you are not physically craving anything - but if you’re eating the wrong types of things for your food sobriety you could still be physically craving which is going to make the task of recovery harder.
If reading this makes you angry and defensive then you might have a dysfunctional relationship with food.
If you want to be mentally freed and not a slave to food, then focus on changing your behavior and thoughts about food. True freedom is yours if you do the work and pursue recovery.
If you want to get a jump on this problem now and not spend another holiday season deep in your addiction and gaining more weight only to find yourself on January 1 doing the thing again, then join my group starting December 1. Skip your usual holiday struggles and don’t wait to pursue your goals in the new year - pursue them now.
